Calendar Changes for 2012-2013
School District 27J is implementing early release days in its 2012-2013 school calendar. Beginning in the 2012-2013 school year, all 27J students will be released from school 75 minutes early each Wednesday. The early release days will take the place of planned staff development days throughout the school year. The 2012-2013 School Calendar is now on the website. FULL DAY KINDERGARTEN
West Ridge Elementary is excited to announce that we will have tuition-based full day Kindergarten beginning the 2012-2013 school year! Admission to Full Day Kindergarten will be through a Lottery--it will NOT be first come first served. The first step will be to complete the Lottery Form which you can get HERE and return it to the office.
Full Day Kindergarten Timeline:
April 27, 2012--Final Day to turn in form to be placed in the Lottery
April 30, 2012--Lottery will be conducted internally
May 4, 2012--Notification sent via U.S. Mail of Lottery results
May 18, 2012--Final day to turn in $100.00 non-refundable Registration Fee
Full Day Kindergarten Tuition
(based on 2011-2012 prices, subject to change)
*Full--$270.00/month
*Reduced Lunch Qualification--$220/month
*Free Lunch Qualification--$170/month
A letter from Nutrition Services must be given to the office to show free or reduced.

NEW SCHOOL BOUNDARIES
Our 2012-2013 school boundaries have been finalized. West Ridge's new school boundaries can be viewed HERE or under the Enrollment Tab. Anyone living in the 27J District WEST of Quebec Street and SOUTH of Weld County Road 2 are in our attendance area.

TO PAY SCHOOL RELATED FEES
School District 27J is now providing parents an easy way to make payments for schools fees. We have established a secure web store. Our new web store offers parents a convenient payment option when paying school related fees. Online payments can be made using a VISA or MasterCard credit or debit card.

After School Pick-Up Policy
Your students will come home from assessments with a color coded tag on their backpack to designate how your child will leave the school at 3:30pm daily.
WHITE=Walking home, RED=Bus Rider, all other colors are for students being picked up.
A-E BLUE
F-J GREEN
K-M ORANGE
N-R PURPLE
S-Z YELLOW
For those parents picking up students, pull into two the Hug & Go lanes and stay in your vehicles. Staff members will be ushering students to your car based on the colored placards on your dashboard that will match their backpack tags. We will load 8 cars at a time and as they exit the next 8 cars will be asked to move forward for loading. There will be NO parking in any lane. If your child is not ready when you're ready for loading we request you pull around and get back into the line.
***In cases of inclement weather (20 degrees & below or raining/snowing) your students will be waiting in the gym for pick up. The rest of the process remains the same.***
We appreciate your patience in helping us with this new process. This will keep our kids safe and streamline pickup with our increased enrollment!
