Welcome from Principal Karr
I am honored to be a West Ridge Wild Cat! I am joining this community after more than two decades in education. I am excited to be a part of this team as we ALL strive to move student learning forward and produce greater outcomes for kids!
As a 27J leader, I have had the privilege of leading multiple buildings and guiding staff, students and our communities to live out our 27J mission. I came to 27J after serving in a neighboring district for 12 years as an elementary teacher and a school administrator at the middle and high school levels. Returning to the elementary level has sparked a passion for early intervention so that students have the tools they need now to have a successful future.
My wife and I are Colorado natives and currently live in the 27J school district where our two boys also attend school. Our family enjoys spending time together outdoors whether that be on the football field, basketball court or in the mountains camping, fishing, hunting and ATVing.
As a Wild Cat, I look forward to meeting and engaging with our stakeholders. Partnering with our families and the community is essential to the success of each and every student at West Ridge Elementary and I look forward to doing this with YOU!
